Fertiliser Firms Face Natural Gas Deficit

The Indian fertiliser industry is facing a shortage of over 10.9 mmscmd (million metric standard cubic metres per day) of natural gas at present.
The shortage is expected to aggravate further with the government predicting a drop in supply from 19.40 mmscmd to 17.93 mmscmd in the next three years.
This apart, naphtha-based plants such as DCM Shriram, Chambal Fertiliser, Duncans and Indian Farmers Fertilisers
