First Indian Corp opens Mangalore office

First Indian Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the First American Corporation, a provider of business information in the United States, on Thursday announced the opening of its branch office here.
 
Addressing the members of Kanara Chamber of Commerce, Anoop Hegde, country manager, First Indian Corporation Private Limited, said the company's expansion of operations into Mangalore was part of the second phase of its expansion in the country.
 
The enterprise would initially support transaction processing services for the US mortgage industry and seek to recruit around 250 local professionals and leverage the city's infrastructure to deliver services to the parent company, he added.
 
First Indian Corporation Pvt. Ltd already has offices in Bangalore and Hyderabad where its primary area of focus includes title insurance, property tax, flood certification, default management services, credit and property information among others.
 
It is a key contributor to the ongoing operational efficiency initiatives of several segments of the First American Corporation which has more than 2,100 offices worldwide and had garnered revenues of $8.1billion in 2005.
