L&T to build longest flyover at Panipat

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has bagged a contract from National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), New Delhi, for constructing a 6-lane dedicated flyover on National Highways No. 1 (NH 1) in Haryana.

According to a release issued by L&T to the BSE, the contract envisages widening the existing 4-lanes, 10 km stretch (km 86 to km 96) that passes through the historic city of Panipat to 6 lanes and construction of a city bus stand and Skylark Tourist Complex.

The total cost of the project is estimated at Rs 418 crores, and will be executed on build operate transfer (BOT) basis through a special purpose vehicle to be formed for this purpose, the release said.
