Lotus Bawa to set up Rs 15 cr unit in HP

Lotus Bawa Footwear is going to set up a Rs 15 crore manufacturing unit in Tahliwal in Una district of Himachal Pradesh.

"The company plans to use latest technology and will provide employment to around 700 local people. This was confirmed by Una-based State Industries Department Official Sudhir Sharma.

He said Lotus Bawa would soon be allotted a plot in Tahliwal as the company had already been given permission to set up its footwear unit by the state industries department.

The state government has so far developed 171 industrial plots at Tahliwal and 66 units are already in operation here.

"The state government has acquired 38,400 square metres of land to be developed at Tahliwal," officials said.
