Monsanto Company ties up with Yash Tech

| The $4.2 billion St Louis-based Monsanto Company has entered into a two-year contract with Yash Technologies to improve the former's efficiencies in managing information technology processes. |
| This is the first of its kind relationship for Monsanto, which provides agricultural products and solutions, in Hyderabad. |
| Addressing a press meet, Mark P Jordan, executive vice-president of Monsanto, said, "Yash Technologies will help Monsanto in SAP upgradation, support migration study, supply chain opportunity assessment, functional consulting, customisation, ABAP/4 programming, basis support, enhancement and development of add-on applications." |
| According to Manoj Baheti, president and CEO of Yash Technologies, the offshore development centre in Hyderabad would start with five employees and would soon be scaled up to around 55. "In the next two years, we expect the headcount to be around 200," he said. |
| The $40 million Illinois-based Yash Technologies focuses on delivering business solutions in customer relationship management (CRM), enterprise resource planning (ERP), content management, business intelligence, supply chain and e-business applications through global delivery model with a global network of regional offices, software development centers and support centres in India, North America, Europe and Asia. |
| Monsanto uses innovation in plant biotechnology, genomics and breeding to improve productivity and reduce the costs of farming. |
| Through the company's Holden's/Corn States business, they also provide other seed companies with genetic material and biotechnology traits for their seed brands. The company manages business in two segments "� seeds and genomics, and agricultural productivity. |
