Nagarjuna Fert net rises 115%

Nagarjuna Fertilisers and Chemicals Ltd posted a turnover of Rs 214.06 crore, other income of Rs 3.87 crore and a profit after tax of 14.59 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005.

The company's turnover increased by 24.5 per cent and net profit rose by 115.8 per cent compared with a turnover of Rs 171.84 crore and a profit after tax of Rs 6.76 crore registered during the corresponding quarter in the previous year.

Earnings per share during the first quarter of the current fiscal stood at Rs 0.34.
