Ocimum Bio licenses solution to Toronto firm

City-based Ocimum Biosolutions has licensed its laboratory information management system (LIMS) solution, Biotracker, to Toronto-based Arius Research Inc.
At present, Arius Research is focussed on discovering and developing novel cancer therapies through their FunctionFIRST platform.
Anuradha Acharya, CEO of Ocimum Biosolutions, said that their LIMS solution would enable Arius to manage the volume and complexity of data generated during the drug development process. The implementation partner for Ocimum is United Bioinformatica Inc, Canada.
"The combination of Biotracker solution and Ocimum's customer service would be beneficial to Arius Research in integrating and enhancing the data management," Anuradha said.
The LIMS solution, with its feature-rich components with an ability to integrate numerous complex data systems would solve the problems faced by a research lab in combining different software tools and different data types, she said.
Biotracker software is a multi-platform LIMS software that complies with good laboratory practices (GLP) and USFDA norms.
It enables life sciences labs to keep on accurate track of samples, reagents, instruments, processes and output right through to the final stage of research, Anuradha added.
