Prestige, Marriott tie up for Golfshire

Group, the Bangalore-based property developer, has partnered Marriott International to build a luxury resort hotel "" Golfshire "" in Bangalore.
The resort, to come up on a 275-acre land, will have high-end villas and a golf course set against the backdrop of the Nandi Hills.
According to Irfan Razack, CMD, Group, "The project has been approved by the Karnataka Tourism Board. The hotel and villa project is being built for Rs 800 crore. About 300 rooms, 30 luxury suites and the golf course is part of the project. The resort, set in this green belt, will be opened for business in three years."
The founded in 1985, has a turnover of Rs 550 crore and has completed about 130 projects with over 13 million square feet area. The group has another 20 million square feet under development. The company has projects in Bangalore, Goa, Hyderabad, Mangalore, Kochi and Chennai.
Marriott International, a lodging company with about 3,000 properties in the United States and 67 other countries, operates through franchisees under the Marriott, JW Marriott, The Ritz-Carlton, Renaissance, Residence Inn, Courtyard, TownePlace Suites, Fairfield Inn, SpringHill Suites and Bulgari brand names. During fiscal 2007, Marriott International sales from continuing operations was $13 billion.
