Tata Teleservices subscriber base at 3.16 lakh
Reliance Infocomm has claimed a subscriber base of 8,61,320 wireless limited mobile customers as on March 25, 2003, having started taking bookings from February 6.
The company has also stated that it has invested Rs 7,389 crore till December 31, 2002 to set up its all-India fixed-line and limited mobility network.
The figures are based on an affidavit filed by the Association Of Basic Telecom Operators (ABTO) to the Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) on March 27, 2003.
The affidavit is part of the current dispute between cellular service operators and fixed-line/limited mobility service operators.
The affidavit marks the first time that information on the subscriber bases and investment figures of the new fixed-line/limited mobility service operators have been made public. ABTO
