KEC Intl Q4 net jumps 100%

Consolidation and growth in orders helped the RPG group-promoted power transmission EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) player KEC International post a net profit of Rs 60.66 crore for the quarter ended March 2008, up 100 per cent, compared with Rs 30.19 crore in the corresponding previous quarter.

 

Revenues in the quarter were higher by 60 per cent at Rs 1,031 crore (Rs 643.70 crore).

Net profit for the full year stood at Rs 172.16 crore, up 65 per cent, from Rs 104.64 crore last year. The company reported a 38 per cent growth in net sales at Rs 2,814 crore (Rs 2,040.63 crore).

"This year, consolidation has occurred along with significant growth. The RPG group companies National Information Technologies and RPG Transmission have successfully been merged into KEC in record time and with great success. Topline and profits have grown through the year and we expect to continue on a sustained growth path to become a billion-dollar company," said Ramesh Chandak, managing director and CEO, KEC International.

The company currently has an orderbook of Rs 4,200 crore compared with Rs 3,000 crore last year, he said.

The company has also announced 50 per cent dividend.
