Seagram launches Nine Hills wines

| Seagram India, the wholly owned subsidary of world's second largest spirits and wine company Pernod Richard Group, has launched its first wine brand in India, Nine Hills, in two varieties each in the red and white wines. The range of Nine Hills wines includes Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chenin Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc varieties. Priced between Rs 450 to Rs 550, the brands are positioned at the top end of the segment in all markets. Launch of the wine will be two phased; with Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka and West Bengal in phase one which will be completed this December, Param Uberoi, chairman and CEO Seagram India said at the launch. "We will ensure optimal distribution across key off and on-premise outlets in each market. Trials and events are intended to the the key drivers to push the brand to consumers. The effort would be to gain image leadership at an early stage." |
