Single Window clears projects worth Rs 1,921 cr
Concor gets nod for logistics park

The State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) approved nine projects, including a multi-modal logistics park proposed by Container Corporation of India (Concor) envisaging a combined investment of Rs 1,921 crore.
Together, these nine projects promise direct employment for 1,873 people.
The SLSWCA gave its nod to Concor for developing a rail-linked container terminal and multi-modal logistics park at Jajpur Keonjhar Road at a cost of Rs 70 crore.

The logistics park needs 30 acres of land and will be set up on the public private partnership (PPP) mode.
The logistic park will include facilities like warehouses, distribution centres, storage areas, offices, truck services, parking lots, truck terminals, container rail terminal, container handling facilities, cold storages, distribution centers, air cargo points, lorries, maintenance points, service stations, hospitals and restaurants.
It would also be equipped with weigh bridges, telecommunication facilities, banks, health awareness units and recreation centres.
The SLSWCA chaired by the state chief secretary also cleared eight proposals in steel making, pelletisation and beneficiation recommended by the steel task force. Among these projects includes a proposal by SKJ Ispat to set up 0.60 mtpa pellet plant at Dudhakundi village under Champua tehsil in Keonjhar district. The project will entail an investment of Rs 133.96 crore.
Similarly, K K Pellets has proposed to establish 0.60 mtpa pellet unit at a cost of Rs 158 crore. The promoter has identified Sairapenth and Mahadeijoda villages in Keonjhar district for the project.
"The SLSWCA has cleared nine proposals in all. We have also decided to have a benchmarking study for steel projects with capacity beyond six mtpa by Central agencies like Projects Development India Ltd, Mecon and Engineers India Ltd. The benchmarking study will assess land and water requirement of the mega steel plants," said G Mathi Vathanan, chairman and managing director of Industrial Promotion & Investment Corporation of India Ltd (Ipicol).
Aditya Birla owned Essel Mining & Industries Ltd has also proposed a 1.20 mtpa pellet plant at Bonai under Koira tehsil in Sundergarh district at an investment of Rs 389 crore.
SSAB Energy & Minerals Ltd is keen to set up a three mtpa iron ore beneficiation plant and 1.8 mtpa pellet project at a total cost of Rs 248 crore. The project is intended to be set up at Dhanurjaypur under Haromoto block in Keonjhar district.
The only proposal for a steel plant has come from Aryan Ispat and Steel Pvt Ltd. The company has proposed 0.30 mtpa steel plant at Malda and Dhanurjaypur in Keonjhar district, committing an investment of Rs 546 crore.
Other proposals include 1.20 mtpa pellet plant at Haridajodi (Keonjhar) from Fortune Iron & Steel at a cost of Rs 123 crore, 1,20 mtpa pellet plant at Sana Indupur and Bada Indupur (Sundergarh) at an investment of Rs 220 crore and 60,000 tonne per annum ferro alloys plant at Anantpur (Cuttack) by T S Alloys Ltd at a cost of Rs 110.95 crore.
