Subhash Projects bags Rs 353cr orders

Kolkata-based Subhash Projects and Marketing Limited (SPML) has bagged consolidated orders worth Rs 353 crore covering all its core sectors of water, power, and environment.
 
The orders include three water-related projects from the Delhi Jal Board and public health engineering department (PHED) of Jaipur, two rural electrification projects from National Hydroelectric Power Corporation Ltd and one order for sewage treatment plant from the Nasik Municpal Corporation.
 
The completion period for all orders was between 14-21 months.
 
The Delhi Jal Board (DJB) projects were worth Rs 133 crore.
 
The PHED Jaipur order was funded by the Japanese Bank of International Cooperation (JBIC) and was worth Rs 99 crore.
 
The rural electrification projects bagged by SPML were located in the Ganjam and Gajpati districts of Orissa, with project value pegged at Rs 49 crore and Rs 31 crore respectively.
 
A big regional player in the environmental engineering segment, SPML's project for the Nashik Municipal Corporation was for delivery for a turnkey solution of a 70 MLD sewage treatment plant at Agar Takali with a project value of Rs 38 crore.
 
"These new projects will help improve bottomline substantially in the next three quarters of the current fiscal,'' said Subhash Sethi, vice-chairman of SPML.
 
The Nashik Municipal Corporation project included designing, constructing, supply, erection, testing, commissioning, start up and performance run for the sewage treatment plant and sewage pumping station, followed by five years of operations and maintenance.
 
The funding of this project was through JNNURM launched by the government in 2005. SPML was a 25-year-old player in the engineering construction and project management sector having executed over 200 projects in the areas of water and power management, power distribution, infrastructure and environment.
 
SPML had offices in Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Jaipur, Bhopal, Patna and Guwahati.
