Suzlon's Kutch wind park crosses 1,000 Mw installed capacity

One of the leading wind turbine makers in the world Suzlon Group's wind park in Kutch district of Gujarat has crossed 1000 MW of installed capacity. This makes the company's Kutch wind park one of the largest of its kind in India.

Suzlon currently has a total installed capacity of over 1,500 MW in Gujarat. Apart from Kutch, the company's other installations in the state are at Jamanagar, Porbandar, Rajkot and Bhavnagar.

"Suzlon's maiden project for this (Kutch) wind park was initiated in August 2005 at Changdai site in Gujarat. The wind park comprises Suzlon's entire product portfolio ranging from the 600 kW model to the latest S9X- 2.1 MW series," the company today informed BSE.

The wind park includes a cluster of wind farm sites spread across Nanisindholi, Suthri, Jakhau, Amaliyara, Vanku, Jamanvada, Lathedi, Sinoi and Sikharpur in Kutch district.
