Amway India Enterprises Pvt Ltd is India's largest direct selling FMCG company. India is the fourth country in the world in which Amway has set up a manufacturing plant, and has invested Rs 550 crore in the facility.
Anshu Budhraja, CEO, Amway India, said that the manufacturing plant in Tamil Nadu reiterates company's commitment to 'Make in India, Make for India.'
The plant provides direct employment to around 400 people.
Amway India had acquired 50 acres of land in Nillakottai in 2012 after signing an MOU worth Rs 300 crore with SIPCOT, Government of Tamil Nadu.

The facility consists of nine production lines for nutrition, cosmetics and oral care products, including four lines for nutrition supplements, two each for protein supplements and cosmetics, and one line for Glister toothpaste. The plant has the annual capacity to manufacture 1.2 billion tablets and soft gels, seven million canisters of drink mixes, 19 million cosmetic jars, bottles and tubes and 60 million tooth pastes.
