Toyota plans 'limited' Corolla

Toyota Kirloskar would launch a limited edition of only 400 cars of its Corolla model in India during the last week of May this year.
The limited edition is expected to further push Corolla's market share.
At present, Corolla has a market share of 36 per cent in th C Sedan segment in West Bengal. Innova, too, registered a growth in its market share in the Rs 5-12lakh car category from 9 per cent in March this year to 13 per cent in April.
"In West Bengal, despite the sharp fall in the MPV segment (-27%), Innova's growth during April has been remarkable. While the MPV segment recorded a sale of 262 units, Innova alone recorded a sale of 75 units," claimed Jayanta Boral, regional manager (E) - sales operations division of Toyota Kirloskar Motor.
Toyota is also planning to open its third sales-services-spares showroom on Kolkata's E M Bypass by 2008. Spanning over 1 lakh sq ft, such showrooms are expected to be of more assistance to consumers.
