TVS Electronics net profit at Rs 3 cr

TVS Electronics has posted a net profit of Rs 3.04 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2006 against Rs 72 lakh in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal. Net sales grew 7 per cent to Rs 64.96 crore from Rs 60.67 crore.

For the year ended March 31, 2006, the company reported net profit of Rs 3.15 crore against Rs 4.28 crore for the 15-month ended March 31, 2005.

Net sales stood at Rs 259.50 crore for the year ended March 31, 2006, as against Rs 315.74 crore in the previous 15-month period. Its board recommended dividend of Rs 0.75 per equity share .

NIIT net flat at Rs 8.3 crore

NIIT recorded a net profit of Rs 8.3 crore in the quarter ended March 2006, marginally higher than the net profit of Rs 8.2 crore registered in the corresponding period of the previous year.

The board has also recommended a dividend of Rs 6 a share. Net sales grew 10 per cent to touch Rs 114.9 crore in the quarter ended March 31 2006 compared with last year's Rs 104.5 crore.

The company's net profit touched Rs 40.1 crore in March, 2006, 12 per cent higher than Rs 35.6 crore in March 31, 2005. Net sales stood at Rs 450.7 crore, 13 per cent higher than Rs 398.4 crore announced the previous year.

Trent Q4 net at Rs 6.97 crore

Trent, the retail arm of the Tata group, posted a net profit of Rs 6.97 crore for the quarter ended March 31, up 0.72 per cent compared with Rs 6.92 crore for the corresponding quarter in 2005.

Net sales for the period were Rs 90.63 crore, 43.03 per cent higher compared with Rs 63.36 crore for the same quarter in 2005.

The company reported a net profit of Rs 24.37 crore for the financial year ended March 31, up 27.92 per cent compared with Rs 19.05 crore for the year ended March 2005. The company will be expanding the number of Westside and Star India Bazaar outlets this year.
