Hyderabad-based solar panel and solar cell maker, XL Telecom and Energy, witnessed a 144 per cent growth in its net profit at Rs 14.13 crore for the third quarter ended March 31, 2008, as compared with Rs 5.79 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago, primarily on account of higher margins in its energy business.

</p><p class='TableClas'>For the nine-month period, XL&#39;s net profit grew 85.69 per cent to Rs 28.82 crore, as compared with Rs 15.52 crore in the corresponding period last year, while overall revenues stood at Rs 473.3 crore, as against Rs 385.9 crore, registering a growth of 22.64 per cent. </P></p><p class='TableClas'></p></table>
