Asian and Pacific Coconut Community meet in Kochi

India will host the 51st ministerial meeting of Asian and Pacific Coconut Community (APCC) from February 2-5 next year in Kochi, the Coconut Development Board stated.
APCC is an inter-governmental organisation formed in 1969 under the aegis of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN-ESCAP). India is one of the founding members of APCC and currently holds its chairmanship of the 18-member countries body.
The meeting will review the global coconut situation and hold deliberations on specific issues in coconut cultivation, processing, marketing and trade.
