Finance Minister P Chidambaram and Urban Development Minister Kamal Nath will be part of the six- member ministerial delegation, which will participate in the four-day World Economic Forum meeting in Davos next month.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, sources said, has approved the name of six ministers for the Davos meeting to be held between January 22 and January 25.

Others in the delegation are Commerce and Industry Minister Anand Sharma, Heavy Industry Minister Praful Patel, Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia and Power Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, sources told PTI.

The theme of 2014 WEF meet is 'The Reshaping of the World: Consequences for Society, Politics and Business'.

"Our aim is to develop the insights, initiatives and actions necessary to respond to current and emerging challenges," the WEF said.

Infosys Vice-Chairman Kris Gopalakrishnan is one of the co-chairs of the annual WEF meeting.

The WEF is meeting at a time when the world is going through a difficult phase and is yet to fully recover from the financial crisis of 2008.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) in its latest global economic forecast had lowered the projection for global output to just 2.9% this year, down from its July estimate of 3.1%.

It would be the slowest growth since 2009. It sees some pickup in 2014 to 3.6%.
