CII organises seminar on MSME

Confederation of Indian Industry's (CII) Odisha chapter organized a seminar on Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises- 'MSM E Connect' for providing information on various financial schemes, government policies, incentives and vendor developments for the growth of MSMEs. Speaking on the occasion Nikunja Sundaray, principal secretary (MSME) said, in India, the MSMEs play a pivotal role in the overall industrial economy of the country. MSMEs in India account for more than 80 per cent of the total number of industrial enterprises and produce over 8000 value-added products. It is estimated that in terms of value, the sector accounts for 45 per cent of the manufacturing output and 40 per cent of the total export of the country.
