Global standard exams for Andhra students

BS Reporter Chennai/ Hyderabad
Professional Aptitude Council (PAC), a San Francisco-based organisation with its Indian headquarters in Bangalore, has entered into a partnership with the Directorate of Collegiate Education (DCE) of Andhra Pradesh for introducing its global standard examination for the students of government and aided colleges in the state.

PAC will conduct its examination and measure the aptitude of the students for doing technical jobs within the global IT business setting.

The DCE will help students across the state to take the examination. The first PAC examination is scheduled to be held in Hyderabad on December 17.

Subsequently, DCE and PAC together will highlight the abilities of IT workers from the state to employers around the world.

Candidates who take the examination will be given membership in PAC Propel, an industry-only exclusive source of pre-qualified candidates for the next two years. The enrolment to Propel will allow students to track some of the technology jobs available across the world.

"This is an ideal opportunity for out IT students spread across several towns, villages and cities in Andhra Pradesh to compete on a level playing field", DCE director, K Lakshminarayana stated in a press release here.

PAC India national director-business, Pratima Amonkar, said that PAC had so far tested students in 350 campuses in India.

According to her, partnering with DCE would help PAC to become a talent hub for Indian IT industry.
