I-T raids at Nagpur firms

The investigation wing of the income tax (I-T) department has raided three big trading firms involved in grocery business, a brokerage house and a financier's office. In all, 26 premises were searched.
 
The three firms deal in grocery goods and betel nut business. The firms included, Adinath Traders run by Bhanwarlal Jain, Neminath Traders, managed by his brother, Ramesh Agrawal, and Yash Traders of his nephew, Vinod Jain.
 
Premises of a brokerage run by Ghansyam Ameesar and office of a financer, Damu Choudhary, were also raided.
 
The IT officials seized various documents including financial records. Three lockers of the Jain family have also been sealed. Over 100 IT officials from Pune and other parts of the state participated in the operation.
