Meet on Ayurveda

A two-day seminar cum workshop - Ayurveda Moolika Mela - on 'eka mulika prayoga' (single drug therapy in Ayurveda) organised by Karnataka Biodiversity Board and Dhanvantari Vedike was inaugurated here on Sunday.

The state level seminar is to commemorate the International Biodiversity day on May 22. The organisation has already conducted a state level seminar on utility and cultivation of medicinal plants in dry zones of Karnataka since the theme of this year is conservation of dry zones diversity.

Various experts from diverse disciplines will deliver lectures. Demonstration regarding cultivation, propagation, processing and utilisation of medicinal plants will also be held. Issues like primary health care of human and livestock, use in single and simple herbs will also be addressed.
