Sea walk project launched in Goa

Press Trust Of India Panaji
The Mumbai-based H20 Pvt Ltd has launched the country's first adventurous underwater sea walk project at the Baina beach in south Goa. This would enable the clients to walk to the bottom of the sea and have a closer look at the marine life.

"One can walk for 20 minutes under water and enjoy the beautiful water world. Both swimmers and non-swimmers can enjoy this unique opportunity to explore the heart of the sea safely," said Rajiv Somani, managing director.

The firm, which runs its adventure sports project at Girgaon chowpatty in Mumbai, feels that tourists form the main clientele for this walk.

"India is one of the fastest growing countries in terms of tourism and there is a huge vacuum that needs to be filled as far as the leisure sports and entertainment sector," said Somani.

He said the company hoped to create a landmark in water sports in Goa.

"We began at chowpatty with a turnover of Rs 1 crore in 2000-2001. It went up to Rs 1.28 crore in 2004-2005," said Somani.
