SRK inaugurates Prayag Film City

Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan on Sunday had his palm impressions recorded to be kept in a museum in the Prayag Film City he inaugurated on Sunday. The museum will preserve hand impressions of other actors from Bollywood as well and those from regional film industries, said Avik Bagchi, the managing director of Prayag Group.
Planned as a one-stop destination for film-makers, Prayag Film City is spread over a sprawling campus of 2,700 acres at Chandrakona, 165 km away from Kolkata.
Although it will take another 4 to 5 years to complete the Rs 1,000-crore film city, the first phase of the ambitious project was inaugurated by Shah Rukh on Sunday.
The film city has been designed by eminent Bollywood art director Nitish Roy, who had also designed the famed Ramoji Film City.
