Stamp paper vendors form united forum

Stamp vendors have decided to continue their protest against the decision of state government to distribute stamps and stamp papers through banks.

The meeting of the representatives of various district stamp vendor associations was held in Ahmedabad on Sunday. So far, 11 district associations from central and south Gujarat have joined the new entity 'Gujarat State Stamp Vendor Association.'

"We are coming under common banner to represent the issue to the state government. The representatives to be the new formed body will meet the concerned state government officials to seek a roll back of the decision to create a new distribution channel," said R J Patel, president, Vadodara District Stamp Vendor Association.

Meanwhile, stamp and stamp vendors have decided to continue their agitation by bringing the stamp and stamp paper distribution on indefinite halt.

It is believed that the commercial transactions will be hit by the strike of stamp vendors in case the solution does not come soon.
