Aviva joins hands with IIM-A for staff training

| Private life insurer, Aviva Life Insurance and the Indian Institute Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A) penned a Memorandum of Understanding to develop a leadership programme for Aviva staffers in the middle management level. |
| The 'Accelerated Leadership Programme' is aimed at enhancing Aviva's next generation leadership capabilities. |
| Aviva, a joint venture between healthcare giant Dabur and the UK-based insurance group Aviva Plc and IIM-A aims to create leaders who can pioneer new business paradigms and continually re-define benchmarks in the insurance domain. |
| "I hope that the course will result in enduring association and a long run partnership between us either through 'Center for Insurance', which could be a pioneer for the insurance industry or many other ways for the organisation's strength, " said, Bakul Dholakia, director of IIM-A. |
| The tie-up will deploy a structured training initiative for Aviva, which includes a two-tier training module design. The key themes to be included in the programme will be a macro understanding of the Indian economic and regulatory environment, its implications on the business and focus on increasing value for all stakeholders. |

| Stuart Purdy, managing director, Aviva Life Insurance said: "The programmes is one of our key initiatives to provide accelerated development opportunities and exponential growth to our people by leveraging the extensive experience and capabilities of IIM-A. |
| "The two-tier training module includes a structured modules for macro understanding of the Indian economic and regulatory environment, its implications on the business and focus on increasing value for all stakeholders. The modules intends towards educating Aviva employees about well-rounded business perspective, enhanced knowledge and skills. Aviva has 28 branches in India supporting its distribution network. |
