Goldman Sachs infuses Rs 485 cr into NBFC

Global financial services firm Goldman Sachs today said it has infused Rs 485 crore in its wholly-owned non-banking financial company (NBFC) to expand its credit trading and investing businesses.
The firm has raised the capital to Rs 485 crore following a capital infusion of Rs 370 crore in its NBFC unit, Pratham Investments and Trading, Goldman Sachs said in a statement.
"This capital infusion furthers our objective of building a full service investment banking and securities platform in India," Managing Director and head of securities at Goldman Sachs, India, Jesse Lentchner said.
