HDFC Q4 net up 23%, payout Rs 20/share

HDFC today reported a increase of 22.6% in its net profit for the quarter ended March 31, 2006.

According to a release issued by HDFC to the BSE today, the company's Q4 net profit incresed to Rs 426.52 crore when compared to Rs 347.79 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago. The total income grew 29.8% to Rs 1,239.90 crore from Rs 955.45 crore.

The consolidated FY06 net profit rose 21.3% to Rs 1,349.15 crore from Rs 1,112 crore in FY05. The total income was up over 26% at Rs 4,649.46 crore from Rs 3,685.60 crore.

The company's board has recommended a payout of Rs 20 per share.
