Karnataka Bank to split Chairman and CEO

Karnataka Bank has decided to split the position of Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Bank. Accordingly, the Board has proposed the name of present Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Bank, Ananthakrishna to be the part time Chairman of the bank from the date as approved by the Reserve Bank of India.
The decision is in response to the recommendations of Dr. Ganguly Committee with regard to splitting of post of Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in private sector Banks.
"The Board has also resolved to submit a panel of names for the post of Managing Director to RBI seeking their approval," a release from the bank said.
