Lic Turns Saviour For Brokers

Chairman S B Mathur and Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) is emerging as the unexpected saviour of small and medium brokers currently in problems from stock market scams by offering them agencies.

LIC is targeting bank employees who opted for voluntary retirement scheme (VRS) to be recruited as agents as well.

The chairman has directed its 80,000 strong network of development officers to recruit from these two categories as agents.
