Outlook
The spot rupee is expected to open in the range of 43. 47/50 to a dollar on Thursday.

Sentiment: Dull

The spot rupee opened at 43. 52/53 and appreciated to 43.4850/4925 to close .

The premium on forward dollars closed with six-month ane on-year dollars closing at 1.19 per cent and 1.16 per cent respectively.

Money market

Sentiment: Bullish

Prices of government securities rallied for the second consecutive day following buying demand from banks and primary dealers.

Prices of securities across the board moved up by 8-10 paise.

The 10-year stock 7.38 per cent 2015 closed at 6.80 per cent as against a close of 6.88 per cent on Tuesday.

Call rates ruled at 5.05 per cent, while reverse repo bids were at Rs 18,000 crore.

Corporate bonds rallied following the rally in gilts market.
