Re hits fresh 9-year high, soars to 40.28/$

The Indian rupee to touched a fresh 9-year high at 40.28/$ in mid-morning trades.

However, buying by the central bank capped the upmove, and the rupee was seen quoted around 40.39/$ at 1145 hrs.
