Mgmt schools gain from overseas collaborations

With an aim to provide quality education to students, business schools in Punjab are looking for collaboration with overseas universities.

According to officials from management schools in the region the overseas collaboration not only provides students an opportunity of exposure towards international education standards but also updates them about latest industry needs making the students globally employable. Technological collaboration and student exchange programs were some benefits which the schools in the region are able to sustain due to such ventures.

Anshu Kataria, chairman, Aryan Group of Colleges believes collaboration with overseas universities is beneficial for students who want to have the feeling of studying in overseas universities via student exchange program, and also for faculty members.

 

Aryan Business School has entered into collaborations with foreign institutions such as Outline System, USA; LMSE, London and Fontys University, Netherlands.

Rajendran Panickar, Director General, Indo Global Colleges feels with business gaining global dimensions it is an imperative for students to know and understand the global business culture, trends and market behaviour. Overseas collaboration trains the students to face global challenges. It brings in fresh educational trends and keeps the faculty and students globally updated with latest as well as evolving trends.

Indo Global Colleges is planning for Overseas Collaborations for Management as well as Engineering Streams.

Rajkumari Educational Trust, part of GRD Group, has a joint partnership with Oakland University (OU) of Rochester Hills, Michigan, USA to introduce OU’s graduate and post-graduate programs in India. It would operate under the name of American International School of Management, with the campus in Mohali.

S Bedi, chairman, Gian Jyoti Group too, maintained the group would soon be coming up with an international institute of global standards.
