Aluminium up 0.31% in futures trade

Aluminium prices moved up by 0.31% to Rs 112.20 per kg in futures trading today as speculators created fresh positions driven by a firming trend overseas.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in May gained 35 paise, or 0.31% to Rs 112.20 per kg, with a trade volume of 99 lots.

June aluminium also traded higher by 30 paise, or 0.27% to Rs 112.95 per kg, with a business turnover of 10 lots.   

Analysts said a better trend in the global markets along with good spot markets demand helped aluminium prices to recover at futures trade here.
