BEML dips on disappointing Q4 results

Posted net loss of Rs 13.9 crore in Q4FY12 against a net profit of Rs 70 crore in previous year quarter

BEML has dipped almost 6% to Rs 405 after posting a net loss of Rs 13.9 crore for the quarter ended March 2012, against a net profit of Rs 70 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous fiscal. Total income from operations too, declined by 16% at Rs 775 on year-on-year basis.

Meanwhile, the board has recommended a dividend @ Rs 5/- per share (50%) on the paid-up share capital of the company for the year 2011-12.

A combined around 7,000 shares have changed hands on the counter in opening deals on both the exchanges.
