Cardamom futures rise as demand picks up

Cardamom prices moved up marginally by Rs 4 to Rs 654.20 per kg in futures market today on pick up in demand in the spot market.
Tight stock availability following restricted arrivals from producing regions also supported the upside in cardamom.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, March cardamom gained Rs 4, or 0.62% to trade at Rs 654.20 per kg in business turnover of 38 lots.
The January contract gained Rs 2.30, or 0.38%, to Rs 603 per kg in 270 lots.
Traders said a pick-up in demand in the spot market against restricted arrivals from producing region mainly led to rise in cardamom prices at futures trade.
