Crude palm oil up 0.50%

Overseas firming trend influenced the price

Crude palm oil rose by Rs 2.20 to Rs 440.40 per 10 kg in futures trading today.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, the January contract rose by Rs 2.20, or 0.50% to Rs 440.40 per 10 kg in 318 lots.

Similarly, the February cotract traded higher by Rs 2.20, or 0.49% to Rs 448.20 per 10 kg in 323 lots.

Marketmen said a firming trend in the overseas markets triggered the upmove.

Meanwhile, the March contract jumped 1.4% to $ 814 a metric tonne on the Malaysia Derivatives Exchange.
