Gur chakku declines on sluggish demand

In thin trading, gur chakku prices declined by Rs 50 per quintal in the wholesale jaggery market today due to sluggish demand.
Other varieties of gur showed a steady trend in Delhi and other neighbouring states such as Muzzafarnagar and Muradnagar.
Traders said sluggish local demand mainly led to fall in gur chakku prices. At Delhi, gur chakku lost Rs 50 to Rs 2800-2900 per quintal.
Following were today's quotations per quintal:
Chakku Rs 2,800-2,900, pedi Rs 3,050-3,150, Dhayya Rs 3,300-3,400, and Shakkar Rs 3,200-3,300
Muzaffarnagar: Raskat Rs 2,350-2,450, chakku Rs 2,450-2,525 and Khurpa N.T
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,750-2,800 and Dhaya Rs NA
