Lead weakens by 0.27%
Subdued demand from battery makers pulled the price down

Lead futures fell by 0.27% to Rs 127.25 per kg today on profits booking amid subdued domestic demand and metal's weakness at the London Metal Exchange.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, the January contract fell by 35 paise, or 0.27%, to Rs 127.25 per kg, with a business turnover of 938 lots.
The December contract also shed 30 paise, or 0.24% to Rs 127 per kg in a business turnover of 1,267 lots.
Weakening trend at the London Metal Exchange and subdued demand from battery makers pulled the price down.
