Moong, gram rise on retailers demand

Moong and gram prices firmed up to Rs 200 per quintal on the wholesale pulses market today due to pick up in retailers' demand.

Traders said pick up in demand from retailers against limited arrivals, led to rise in wholesale moong and gram prices.

Moong and its dal chilka local rose by Rs 200 each to Rs 4,050-4,450 and Rs 4,900-5,300 per quintal, respectively.

Gram and its dal local variety, also traded in positive zone with a gain of Rs 25 each to Rs 2,475-2,500 and Rs 2,750-2,775 per quintal, respectively.

Urad 3,700-4,250, Urad chilka (local) 4,500-4,900, best 5,000-5,300, Dhoya 5,200-5,300, Moong 4,050-4,450, Dal moong chilka local 4,900-5,300, Moong Dhoya local 5,350-5,550 and best quality 5,850-6,050.

 

Masoor small 2,850-3,050, bold 3,050-3,300, Dal Masoor local 3,650-3,750, best quality 3,900-4,200, Malka local 3,800-3,850, best 3,950-4,050, Moth 4,100-4,400, Arhar 3,600-3,700, dal arhar dara 4,600-5,000.
