Nickel Steals The Thunder On Markets

The domestic non ferrous market witnessed a a mixed trend with majority metals losing during the week.
Nickel cathodes were the attraction of the week with its price zooming up from Rs 520 to Rs 543 between July 5 and July 14.

Similarly, tin slabs also gained sharply from Rs 310 to Rs 325 and lead ingots were up from Rs 37 to Rs 39.
Copper heavy scrap is down from Rs 109.50 to Rs 107 per kilogram, while copper utensil scrap is lower from Rs 100.50 to Rs 99, copper wire bar is down from Rs 127 to Rs 126.50, brass utensil scrap is down from Rs 84 to Rs 83 and brass sheet cutting is down from Rs 88 to Rs 87.
Aluminium utensil scrap has lost marginally from Rs 77 to Rs 76.50, aluminium ingots are down from Rs 91.50 to Rs 91 and zinc ingots have lost from Rs 64.75 to Rs 64.
Meanwhile the non-ferrous metals fluctuated on the international exchanges. The indicative prices on the London Metal Exchange (LME) in early Monday trades ranged between $1716.0/1719.0 for copper, $4805/4825 for tin, $ 511.00/513.00 for lead, $842.0/844.0 for zinc, $1411.0/1413.0 for aluminium and $8770.0/8790.0 for nickel.
