Peas move up on local demand

Pea prices moved up by Rs 25  per quintal in a steady wholesale pulses market today on rise in local demand. 

However, other commodities, remained steady in limited deals. Market analysts said a pick-up in local demand led to the rise in peas' wholesale prices.

In the national capital, peas white and green prices rose by Rs 25 each to Rs 2,125-2,225 and Rs 2,275-2,475 per quintal, respectively. 

Following are today's quotations in Rs per quintal:

Urad 4,000-4,400, Urad chilka (local) 4,900-5,300, best 5,400-5,900, Dhoya 5,350-5,450, Moong 3,950-4,950, Dal  moong chilka local 4,900-5,300, Moong Dhoya local 5,200-5,400 and best quality 5,800-6,000

 

Masoor small 2,700-2,900, bold 2,850-3,100, Dal Masoor local 3,200-3,300, best quality 3,500-3,800, Malka local 3,350-3,400, best 3,500-3,600, Moth 1,700-2,000, Arhar 3,250-3,750, dal arhar dara 4,850-5,250

Gram 2,500-2,525, gram dal (local) 2,950-2,965, best quality 3,050-3,175, besan (35 kg) Shakti  bhog 1,150, Rajdhani 1,150, Rajmah chitra Pune 3,550-3,950, China 3,900-4,150, red 3,850-3,950
