Higher arrivals from key producing areas vs lower demand pulls prices down

Potato prices shed Rs 4.30 to Rs 1,085 per quintal in futures market today due to the increased supplies in the physical market following higher arrivals from producing regions against lower demand.
At the MCX, potato for delivery in May shed Rs 4.30, or 0.39%, to Rs 1,085 per kg in business turnover of five lots.
The June contract traded lower by Rs 4.10, or 0.36%, to Rs 1,130.20 per quintal in 49 lots.
