Refined soya down 0.50%

Adequate stocks influenced the prices

Refined soya oil prices declined by Rs 3.45 to Rs 692.70 per 10 kg in futures trading today as speculators trimmed their positions.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, the February contract declined by Rs 3.45, or 0.50% to Rs 692.70 per 10 kg with an open interest of 82540 lots.

Similarly, the January contract traded lower by 70 paise, or 0.10% to Rs 703.70 per 10 kg in 72,470 lots.

Market experts said sluggish demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position mainly put pressure on refined soya oil futures.
