Sensex up 450pts; ICICI Bank, SBI rally over 9%

The Sensex is now up 450 points at 10,238.

Reliance Infrastructure has zoomed 11.7% to Rs 510. Tata Motors has soared 11% to Rs 191.

DLF and ICICI Bank have surged around 9.5% each to Rs 241 and Rs 437, respectively.

SBI has rallied over 9% to Rs 1,211. Maruti and Hindalco have gained around 8% each at Rs 610 and Rs 65, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro has moved up 7% to Rs 862. HDFC has added 6.7% to Rs 1,883.

Tata Steel has advanced nearly 5% to Rs 220, and Tata Power has gained 4.4% at Rs 720.

Reliance, Bharti Airtel, NTPC and HDFC Bank are up over 4% each.

 

The market breadth is extremely positive - out of 2,302 stocks traded, 1,814 have advanced, 437 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
