Sensex up 54pts, bank stocks still firm

The Sensex has moved up 54 points to 13,982.

SBI has gained 1.7% to Rs 1,078. ICICI Bank is still up Rs 11 at Rs 927.

Tata Motors is steady at Rs 734 - up 2% (Rs 17). Bajaj and Maruti are also trading with gains. Reliance is up Rs 2 at Rs 1,556.

The mood has turned cautiously bullish - out of 2,178 scrips traded, 1,065 have logged gains and 1,032 have declined.
