Steel ends steady in thin trade

There was not much activity on the local steel and iron market today as prices moved in a narrow range on restricted buying activity and settled around previous levels.
Traders said restricted buying activity due to sluggish demand from constructions units mainly kept steel prices steady.
Following are today's quotations per tonne:
CTD saria (Kamdhenu) 8-mm 43,700, 10-mm 43,000, 12-mm 42,300, 16-25 mm 42,500.
Saria Jai Bharat (ISO 9002) 8-mm 39,650, 10 mm 38,850, 12-mm 38,050, 16-25 mm 38,050.
