Sugar eases on ample supply

Sugar prices moved down marginally at the Vashi wholesale market here today on reduced demand from retailers coupled with adequate stock position.

Small sugar quality (S-30) softened by Rs three per quintal to Rs 2,625/2,670 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 2,628/2,670.

Medium sugar quality (M-30) also inched down by Rs two per quintal to Rs 2,660/2,760, as against Rs 2,662/2,760 of last weekend.

Small sugar (S-30) quality Rs 2,625/2,670 (Rs 2,628/ 2,670) and Medium sugar (M-30) quality Rs 2,660/2,760 (Rs 2,662/2,760)
